The 2027 forecasts are in: an electric lapis blue, clay walls, nourishing greens and a new wave of Art Deco glamour. Here is what the forecasters see — and what we would actually hang.

1. Luminous Blue — the colour of 2027
Colour forecasters WGSN and Coloro have named Luminous Blue — an electric, lapis-lazuli sapphire — their colour of the year for 2027, reading it as a bridge between heritage and technology. Repainting a room electric blue is a commitment; hanging it is not. A large Japanese wave print delivers the register in deep blues — and two prints hit the 2027 shade dead-on: the Abstract Blue Tile print, painted in exactly that electric cobalt glass, and the vintage Sapphires chart, which puts the lapis story on the wall literally, gem by gem. The blue wall art collection runs from ink landscapes to cyanotype moods.

2. Clay is the new neutral
The same forecasts put Clay — an earthy neutral with pink undertones — at the centre of 2027 palettes, and designers are already calling warm taupe the new default wall colour. On a clay or limewash wall, figurative art in warm tones sits like it grew there: the Terracotta Reclining Woman is our own proof, the Desert Moon landscape and the Flying Cranes paint whole horizons in the colour, and the Mediterranean collection extends the palette to Amalfi light.

3. Meadowland Green — rooms that slow you down
The third 2027 colour story is a nourishing mid-green built for rest. It pairs with botanical and organic art rather than fighting it: the Sage Green botanical pattern is the trend at its calmest above a bed, and the Serene Green Bath print is an entire Meadowland-Green room in one frame. The green collection goes deeper.

4. Neo-Deco keeps accelerating
Pinterest's own trend predictions flagged modern Art Deco — geometry, brass, marble, 1920s glamour reworked — and afrobohemian interiors as the aesthetics to watch, and both have kept climbing. Our Art Deco salon wall shows the register in three frames; in one, the Art Deco Woman with Calla Lilies folds the burgundy trend into it, and the Fleurs de Danse dancer does the same for terracotta. The Art Deco collection and figurative portraits carry it.

Our own prediction: the wall designed as one piece
Here is the shift we see from our side of the counter: people are no longer buying prints one at a time and hoping. They compose the whole wall first — sizes, frames, spacing — and buy it as a single decision. It is why we built the Wall Designer, and why every trend above links to a wall you can open at real scale, rearrange and order in one click. And one more: oversized will out-trend everything — whatever the palette does, one 70×100 print will keep beating five small ones.

Frequently asked questions
What is the colour of the year for 2027?
Trend forecasters WGSN and Coloro have named Luminous Blue — a vibrant, lapis-inspired electric blue — their Colour of the Year 2027, alongside a supporting palette of Clay, Meadowland Green, a spiced orange and warm neutral whites.
How do I follow a colour trend without repainting?
Bring the colour in through art: one or two large prints in the trend colour, in neutral frames, on a wall you already have. It costs a fraction of repainting, and when the trend moves on you swap the print, not the room.
What sizes do these prints come in?
Every design comes in 12 sizes, from A4 up to 70×100 cm, in both centimetre and inch formats — and all designs share the same size system, so any combination hangs together as a coherent set.
Where are the prints produced?
Each order is printed at the studio closest to you — in the EU, the UK, the USA, Canada or Australia — on 200 gsm archival matte paper. Production typically takes 2–5 business days, and all orders come with 30-day returns.
NoirPixelGallery is an independent art print gallery. Museum-quality giclée prints on 200 gsm archival matte paper, optional wooden frames and passepartouts, printed locally in the EU, UK and USA.
